Collecting, an exhibition that takes the longstanding practice of artist personal swaps and makes them public as a way of looking at value, relationships and reciprocation.
The online and physical exhibition engages with ideas of visible validation, a seemingly increasing need to digitally ‘like’ & ‘endorse’, to find ways of making our relationships visible and our networks traceable

Usually what has been swapped are not seen together in the same space, there is anecdotal story telling. In pairing the artworks and showcasing them online a space is created for the viewer to consider the relationship between the artists. Pairing the artworks is also vital for the discussion/comparisons about value, relationships and fairness that accompanies reciprocation.
